  • October 10, 2017 - President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev awarded diplomas „John Atanasoff Award“ for 2017 to young scientists of the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies - Dr. Kristina Kapanova (Department of Parallel Algorithms) and Dr. Stanislav Harizanov (Department of Scientific Computations).   • May 18, 2011 - The paper "On the real time reconstruction of the ionospheric electron density profile based on concurrent measurements from collocated digital ionosonde and GNSS receiver" with authors S. M. Stankov, K. Stegen, P. Muhtarov, P. Marinov (IICT-BAS, Department of Parallel Algorithms), R. Warnant has been awarded "Best Paper" by the review committee at 13th International Ionospheric Effects Symposium, IES2011, Alexandria, Virginia.

  • May 20, 2011 - BAS President, Academician Nikola Sabotinov, awarded prizes to young and youngest scientists, and honorary awards also, during celebration of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture, and Slavonic Literature - 24th of May.     Dr. Rayna Georgieva from the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Department of Parallel Algorithms, was awarded the prize for Young Scientists "Prof. Marin Drinov" in Mathematics. The PhD student Vasya Atanasova from the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Department of Intelligent Systems was awarded the prize for the Youngest Scientists "Ivan Evstratiev Geshov" in Computer Science.
